What Is Earth, Wind & Power Blogazine?

Earth, Wind & Power Blogazine is an on-line resource specializing in all things environmental. Whether consumers are looking for the latest news in sustainable travel, automotive efforts, eco-friendly fashions, or green home & garden tips; EWP offers it all.

Mission Statement: The mission of EWP Blogazine is to provide commentary and bring readers the latest environmental developments and news on a variety of topics and tips on what consumers can do to reduce their carbon footprint.

SUBMITTING CONTENT

EWP welcomes guest authors. We are looking for contributors who care about the environment and the well-being of our planet, as well as those that can share unique personal experiences and expertise as they relate to environmental news, travel, automotive, home & garden, fashion and politics. If interested please contact us with your perspective. There is no compensation.

AUTOMOTIVE content should relate to the latest eco-efforts being made by the automotive industry; what’s new in electric, hybrid and other alternative power sources for vehicles. 

TRAVEL articles should provide information on environmentally-friendly lodging, tours, attractions and travel products. Tips and ‘how to’s’ that inform travelers on different ways to tread lightly in our national forests, rivers and reserves are also accepted.

HOME & GARDEN pieces should provide readers with the latest information on organic household products, non-toxic items for the garden, and useful energy tips for the home. Content can also explore the latest in solar and wind to create energy-efficient homes and businesses.

FASHION content should offer tips on how to develop a more sustainable wardrobe, explore the latest in organic accessories and clothing, and give readers all the information they need to be eco friendly and fashionable.

CELEBRITY SOUND-OFF content should include the latest in celebrity eco-efforts. We are looking for content that covers what environmental events celebrities are attending, how they are making lifestyle changes, and volunteer work being done. This section is to inform our readers of what their favorite stars are doing to pitch in, NOT for celebrity gossip.

POLITICAL OPINION articles should contain information on what politicians are doing to help the environment, whether it is on a local, national, or worldwide level, we want to present our readers with the latest news on what world leaders are doing to pitch in.

SCIENCE MATTERS content should reflect the knowledge of scientists who have helped distinguish fact from fiction in the environmental arena. Scientists all over the world agree that our planet’s health is in rapid decline, and we are looking for content to inform our reader’s about what the experts are recommending when it comes to reducing their carbon footprint.

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEWS should provide our readers recommendations on the latest environmental documentaries that will offer them the most accurate information. We want to help them separate the good from the bad.

EARTH, WIND & POWER AGREEMENT POLICY

Before submitting a query to EWP, you must agree to EWP's payment and/or byline policy below. Paste the following sentence in the 'how may we help you' box at Editor.

"I acknowledge that I have read, understand and accept Earth, Wind & Power Blogazine’s writer guidelines. Please send your email address to which I may send my query."

Once we receive the above acknowledgment our editor will send our email address containing the full agreement outlined below. By replying to our email with this agreement it will be your electronic approval and acceptance of EWP’s writer guidelines. Your replying email must be from your personal email address, containing your name; otherwise it cannot be accepted if sent from another email address.

Please include your query in that same email.

This document will be included in the email we send to you. You must reply to accept EWP guidelines from your personal email address otherwise it cannot be accepted. I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and accept Earth, Wind & Power Blogazine’s writer's guidelines. I understand that if EWP uses my manuscript, article, or post, I will receive no monetary compensation. If my content is accepted, I agree to this legally binding document that states my submission is my original work, and I will receive byline only as a form of payment. I grant Earth, Wind & Power Blogazine full permission to run my article at their discretion and understand there is no guarantee that my article will be run at all even if accepted. I submit the following article for review and verify that I am the original author of this work. I guarantee that any photos submitted with my article is my original art and/or that I am fully authorized to use these images with my article wherever it is published. EWP Blogazine reserves the right to use writer articles in other on-line publications with which it has content partnerships with no additional approval from its author and at no additional pay. EWP will do its best to notify writers when and where their content has been published by other publications, but cannot guarantee notice if writer is unreachable for any reason. Authors will receive byline on all their articles used on EWP and in other publications. Any sources and links writer provides with articles will also be used in EWP and offered to content partners; however EWP cannot guarantee that content partners will use sources and links provided by author. I understand and accept that there will be no payment for my work or images unless otherwise prearranged and signed in writing by both author and EWP. I understand and accept all the terms contained in EWP's Writer Guidelines and authorize EWP to use my email reply as my electronic signature as legally binding for my acceptance.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

SUBMISSIONS ACCEPTED VIA EMAIL ONLY: Once we have received your acceptance of EWP Writer Guidelines, your query and/or manuscript should be saved as an attachment in a word documentand be sent to the email provided. Please do not include articles in the body of your email. EWP editors no longer type in author articles however we reserve the right to edit writer content for spelling, grammar, style and format.

ORIGINAL WORK: All articles submitted to EWP must be the original work of the submitting author. Permission to run your article on EWP and in its content partner publications must include your guarantee that the article you are submitting is your original work and images. If writer submits articles for use in EWP with written permission and said article(s) are not original work, writer is subject to legal damages.

PHOTO REQUIREMENTS

Website photos: Good clear web quality photos must accompany your article. EWP accepts photos via email saved in gif or jpeg formats. They must be attached with your article. Please submit jpegs no larger than 2X3 inches. Large photo files that require long download times will not be accepted. Only web quality photos are accepted. 

Photos that accompany articles must be owned by and authorized for use by author. Authors must provide written guarantee that the art they provide belongs to them or that they have full authority to use art in association with their articles. If art is from a third party photographer or website, writer must provide permission in writing from the source that authorizes the writer and EWP to use said art. Writer's who submit art for use in the EWP Blogazine that do not have proper authority to use said art will be subject to legal damages.

Articles submitted to EWP that do not include the agreement policy above will not be read or considered.

I am a huge fan of Earth, Wind and Power Blogazine and would like to thank you for all of the helpful posts! I especially enjoy the ones that provide me with ways to become more eco-friendly by taking even small and simple steps such as programming my thermostat.

In a relentless effort to reduce our carbon footprint, scientists have been studying new ways harvest solar energy more efficiently. One of their latest proposals, PETE (Photon Enhanced Thermionic Emission) plans to do just that.
